ABOUT US
Valley Tuition Organization was created by a family who firmly believes in the significance of fostering a strong connection to their Jewish heritage through education and has a profound commitment to seeing Jewish day schools thrive. Embracing inclusivity, they ardently advocate for accessibility to private education across all income levels, viewing it as a cornerstone for fostering a nurturing and enriching environment. Their goal is to utilize Arizona’s school tuition tax credits to increase the support for private Jewish day schools. In their journey, this family weaves a tapestry of values, unity, and a vision for a community where Jewish education flourishes and becomes accessible to ALL.
Rabbi Sadie Becker
Rabbi Sadie Becker, director of Valley Tuition Organization, brings a wealth of knowledge and dedication to the realm of school choice. A proud Arizona native, Rabbi Becker is a graduate of Hebrew Union College – Jewish Institute of Religion, where she earned both a master’s degree in religious education and another in Hebrew letters.
As a private school graduate herself, she knows how valuable the personalized education can be. Currently, Rabbi Becker is not only a committed professional but also a devoted parent, with two of her children enrolled in Jewish day school. Rabbi Becker’s passion lies in ensuring that Jewish day school education is accessible to ALL families within the community.
Terry Taubman
Terry Taubman, the Executive Director Emeritus of Congregation Beth Israel, holds a pivotal role in the creation of Valley Tuition Organization. As a devoted Jewish leader, she has committed her life to the betterment of the greater Phoenix community. Terry’s influence extends beyond her professional endeavors, touching the lives of her four children, all of whom graduated from a private Jewish day school in the valley. Now she finds fulfillment in witnessing the growth and contributions of the next generation—her beloved grandchildren. Terry Taubman, along with her daughter, wanted to create an avenue for more students of ALL income levels to experience the best of private Jewish day school education.
